Hyper Local Search for Dublin, Georgia

So, I've been experimenting with Google's custom search gadget to create a hyper-local search engine for Dublin, Georgia sites. If I simply go to a search engine and type in something like "dublin, georgia websites" I'll get several hundred thousand useless results. Most of the sites that pop up are travel-related companies offering discounts on bed and breakfast stays and the like.

Web Analytics - Using Filters with Google Analytics

One of the most important things that a web master can do when implementing analytics is to filter out his own visits.  If your're using Google Analytics then this can be accomplished by setting up a custom filter.  A filter will remove visit records depending on the criteria that you set up.

In this article I will show you how to set up filters in Google Analytics that will filter out visits from a particular IP address, and IP address block, and a domain.
